Welcome to my blog! I am a soon-to-be speech-language pathologist who has a passion for making fun, engaging materials. I love to share what I've found from others, too. I plan to write this blog not just for SLPs, but also for teachers and parents. Once I get a job, I hope to work in a school, but there is only so much I can do during a therapy session. I think the real "work" (which can be cleverly disguised as play!) happens at home.
Just a little about myself: I got my bachelor's in early childhood education in 2007, worked in a school for a few years, and decided I wanted to go back to school to get my masters in speech-language pathology. Finally, I am only 4 months away from doing that! I will graduate this August. I am currently placed at an externship in an elementary school and loving it! I have been married to my wonderful husband, Luke, for almost 6 years, and we welcomed our first daughter, Scarlett, last July!
I hope you follow me through this journey as I start my career as an SLP and share the fun ideas I find along the way!
